If you all have time, this is a great blog post. I've never read any of Stephen King's books, watched his movies, but I think I'm going to have to put this one on my to buy list.

Great post! And I can say SK's On Writing is the only book of his I've read. I loved it. This insight is just one of many terrific things he imparts. My fav though is his saying he couldn't write while he was a teacher because grading "sucked" the creativity out of him. He quit teaching for that reason. One of the many things I tell the dh when I'm tired and frustrated with the day job. LOL!

I read a few of SK's books and love ON WRITING, especially the audio book version read by King himself. Of all the writing books I've read, this one has gems of information and inspiration that I clearly remember. His wisdom and advice makes sense to me.
